Held on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, this event launched the global 16 Days of Activism campaign.

The association Aide Humanitaire et Journalisme (AHJ), with the support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), was pleased to organise the closing event of the first training cycle of the Voix des Femmes Sans Frontières VFSF - Women's VoicesWithout Borders Egypt program.

Implemented in partnership with the Edraak Foundation for Development, this first training cycle enabled five young Egyptian women — journalists, activists, and civil society members — to acquire technical and thematic skills in podcast production and to create their first media outputs. These productions addressed key issues related to women’s voices, community well-being, and sustainable development.

Through an innovative live podcast format, the laureates presented their productions, shared their experiences and perspectives, and engaged in an open dialogue with the attending partners.
The event was honored by the presence of the French Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Mr. Éric Chevallier, who took part in a discussion on the role of the VFSF program and France’s commitment, through its feminist diplomacy, to empowering young women journalists and activists.

This evening also provided a space for networking and free exchange, highlighting this commitment while fostering synergies with civil society, academic actors, and the media. The evening closed with a restitution concert, showcasing the creativity and voices of young women artists, echoing their commitment to building a more inclusive and inspiring society.

The live podcast event and all podcasts produced during this training are published throughout the campaign on the VFSF and Makanati platforms — two independent platforms created and managed by VFSF laureates from Iraq, Yemen, and Egypt.

The Voix des Femmes Sans Frontières - Women's Voices Without Borders initiative was launched in 2021 by Aide Humanitaire et Journalisme to support and amplify the voices of women journalists, activists, and artists in conflict and post-conflict contexts. Recognised by UN Women as an inspiring model of generation equality and resilience, the program was also selected by the Paris Peace Forum as one of the world’s innovative solutions for peacebuilding.

Today, VFSF brings together an active network of more than 400 women from the Middle East, North Africa, and the diaspora, providing them with training, media production, and professional integration opportunities — transforming their voices into powerful social justice, peace, and equality drivers.
